Maeklong Railway Market Tour (Hoop Rom Market Tour) – Thailand’s Most Unique Market

After a scenic 1.5-hour drive through lush rural landscapes, you’ll arrive at the one-of-a-kind Maeklong Railway Market, also known as the Hoop Rom Market or Mae Klong Railway Market. This is one of the most iconic sights in Thailand — the market where train goes through. As the bell rings and the train approaches, watch in awe as vendors skillfully retract their umbrellas and display tables just moments before the train passes through market Thailand. This jaw-dropping moment is what defines the Thailand train market experience and delivers a true unique railway market Thailand highlight. Capture unforgettable photos and videos as the train rolls directly through the narrow aisle, then enjoy time to explore. Walk through the bustling alleys, sample seasonal fruits, try sweet Thai desserts, and shop for handmade souvenirs. If you're wondering how to get to Maeklong Railway Market from Bangkok, this curated tour provides the most immersive and efficient way. This stop perfectly combines adventure and culture and stands out as the best Maeklong Railway Market tour 2025 offering in Thailand.

Visit to Wat Phet Samuth Woravihan – A Temple Rich in Local Heritage

Next, visit Wat Phet Samuth Woravihan, a sacred Buddhist temple that plays a central role in the spiritual lives of local residents. Learn about the temple's architecture and significance as your private guide Maeklong Railway Market Thailand shares fascinating stories of devotion and tradition. This lesser-known yet revered site enriches your Thailand unique market experience with a touch of cultural depth.

Stop at Wat Bang Kung – The Temple Inside the Tree

Continue to Wat Bang Kung, a small but enchanting temple famously wrapped in the roots of a giant banyan tree. This remarkable site is a hidden treasure and adds a mystical element to your journey. Inside the ancient chapel, you’ll find a golden Buddha image and a peaceful ambiance perfect for reflection or a quiet photo moment. Many travelers say this is one of the most surprising highlights of their Maeklong train market tour.

Damnoen Saduak Floating Market & Boat Ride – A True Thailand Market Experience

Next, head to the vibrant Damnoen Saduak Floating Market, where the atmosphere is lively and colorful. This destination completes your Maeklong and Damnoen Saduak floating market tour, offering a striking contrast to the railway market. Step onto a traditional Thai longtail boat for a private guided ride through the labyrinth of canals, passing boats overflowing with tropical fruit, handcrafted souvenirs, and local dishes prepared right on the water. During your Maeklong market tour with floating market, you’ll learn about the local way of life, floating market trade practices, and the significance of these waterways in Thai culture. This is a floating market with train market combo that gives you the best of both iconic Thai experiences.

Traditional Thai Lunch – Riverside Dining Experience

After the boat ride, enjoy a delicious Thai lunch at a local riverside restaurant, featuring regional favorites made with seasonal, fresh ingredients. Savor authentic flavors while relaxing in a serene countryside setting. Whether you’re vegetarian or have dietary needs, our customizable Maeklong market day trip options make sure your meal is satisfying and suited to your preferences.

Return to Bangkok – Private Transfer Back to Your Hotel

After lunch, unwind as you travel back to Bangkok in your private air-conditioned vehicle. Great tour, would go again

Great tour. The guide is knowledgeable and friendly, the driver was professional, and the places we went to were fun and interesting. The entire time the guide made sure we were happy and translated for us in situations when we needed it. They also adjusted the tour to spend more time at the places we care about more (floating and railway markets), and less at the ones we didn't care about as much (the temples). Overall we were very happy with the experience.

Some companies are better than others!

This was an outstanding day out without a single hassle or worry. Our guide Miss Ketsiree was well spoken and informative and seemed to have an inside person at each stop that allowed us to be in the best position for great photos without any waits. Seeing everyone scrambling for good photo locations, we realized how well planned our trip was. We had prime spots at both locations. This was an added tour which turned out to be one of the best Bangkok tours. Tour was completely inclusive (except souvenirs) and the guide treated us to local treats to bring home. She provided us with fascinating insight into the different locales along the way. I would definitely recommend this tour company in particular to anyone that wants individual attention without any waits, hassles, tolls, fees, or any worries. Just show up and enjoy the rich culture.

Fun Day at Railway & Floating Markets

Great day with our guide Ketsiree. We had a private tour with our own car/driver and were picked up and dropped off right from our hotel lobby which was very convenient. She guided us to purchase a drink from one of the vendors at the train market which then gave us the ability to stand in front of their shop when the train came through so we had a great view. Good tip! This market was interesting to see because it's clearly a place the local community comes to purchase fish, vegetables, fruits, etc - not just a tourist thing. After the railway market, we visited a couple temples on our way to the floating market. Ketsiree was very helpful in explaining the Thai customs and relevant history at each of these sites. The boat ride at the floating market was a fun experience and we stopped at a few vendors to make some purchases right from our boat. Mostly tourists, but fun experience anyway. We had a nice Thai lunch right next to the floating market after the boat ride and returned back to Bangkok hotel by ~2pm. Thank you to Ketsiree and our driver for a fun day!.

Great day visit to floating markets.

My wife and I enjoyed spending our day (private tour) with our guide Gimao and driver Mr. Toey. It is a bit of a drive to the floating market and the traffic is always heavy, but worth the trip. Gimao provided ample stops along the way and intermediate activities to round out the day. She is a lovely young lady and was able to provide interesting perspectives to what we saw and daily life in Thailand. Returning to our Bangkok hotel at a reasonable time.

Touristy- but if you haven't seen you should

we went to see this - it began with a longtail boat ride in the back streets or klongs ( alley ways in he river) you see how many locals live. so it is quite interesting. the floating market is quite colorful , bu it is not really a serious trading place anymore, but gives you a great insight into how it truly was many years ago. dont get me wrong the items on the boat are for sale, but aimed at the tourists. one thing to be careful of is, DO not hold the sides of the boats with your hands - you could end up getting your fingers squashed in between the many baots,.

Ambreen was an excellent guide. She...

Ambreen was an excellent guide. She packed a LOT into one spectacular day. Drive to Floating Market and took private boat on a busy Sunday. Full of people from all over the world enjoying the local Thai foods, fruits, and arts and crafts. Then off to the Rose Garden in Sampan to walk the beautiful grounds by the river followed by an excellent lunch in the restaurant sitting beside a pond filled with carp breaking the surface of the water. Then we went to the Thai Cultural center after lunch to learn the bamboo dance, see how they make massage ointments, paint umbrellas, make elephants from clay, make a Thai dessert of bananas and coconut, watch vegetable carving, make flower arrangements and see a live show. Off we went to a crocodile show and then also and Elephant show before heading back to Bangkok. Lovely countryside on the way back.

This is a full day trip departing at 7...

This is a full day trip departing at 7 am and getting back to Bangkok about 6 pm...depending on the traffic. You visit 2 provinces outside the city of Bangkok. At the first stop, you take an hour boat ride on the floating market. At times it seems like there will be a boat jam but every boat gets through without a problem. You can stop to buy things and sample various food items from vendors on the water. Once you stop, you can also wander through market stalls on ground. Some things are touristy...others are quite nice, especially some of the art work. Second stop is for lunch at the Sampran Riverside Hotel. The Rose Garden Thai village is located here as well. You can wander through the village and either just watch at each station or you can participate. There are food samplings as well. The high light of the Thai village is the cultural song and dance show that is held every afternoon. The bamboo cane dance is particularly thrilling. The afternoon also includes a short drive to see both an elephant and crocodile show. Aey was my guide. She is a very gentle person, knowledgeable as well. She paces the day very well, always making sure you have water and bathroom breaks.
