Sundarbans Bagerhat Magical Wildlife and Culture Tour

Overview
There’s no place on Earth quite like the Sundarbans—where Bengal tigers roam mangrove jungles, crocodiles bask on muddy banks, and narrow creeks whisper age-old stories of nature’s wild rhythm. Add to that the hauntingly beautiful city of Bagerhat, home to ancient mosques and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and you get an unforgettable blend of nature, culture, and history.
The Sundarbans Bagerhat Magical Wildlife and Culture Tour is a 6-day journey designed for the curious traveler. It begins in the heart of Dhaka and takes you by overnight train to Khulna, the gateway to both the Sundarbans and Bagerhat. From here, you’ll embark on a private boat cruise through the remote river systems of the world’s largest mangrove forest. You'll walk the Herbaria Mangrove Trail, sleep under the stars on a Sundarban boat safari, scan the horizon from Katka Watchtower, and possibly spot the elusive Bengal tiger. After the wildness of the forest, the calm spirituality of Bagerhat awaits—with its 60-Dome Mosque, Tomb of Khan Jahan Ali, and centuries-old Islamic architecture.
Perfect for those seeking an eco-tourism adventure, this guided experience brings you face-to-face with Bangladesh’s raw natural beauty and its rich historical legacy. Whether you’re searching for wildlife, history, or simply peace among rivers, forests, and sacred sites—this tour delivers it all.
Twice during your journey, you'll travel by comfortable overnight train, allowing you to maximize your time exploring instead of sitting in traffic. The Sundarbans Bagerhat Magical Wildlife and Culture Tour is truly where jungle adventure meets timeless culture.

A trip of a lifetime.
Staying entrenched in the Mangroves with easy access from our boat to the channels and islands of the Subdarbans. We had many excursions on our flat bottom canoe -all of them brilliant..

Sundarbans Tour, great trip
Great experience to go through the larges mangrove forest by boat and stay overnight on the vessel on the rivers. Even though accommodation and facilities are very basic on board I really liked the trip. Mam Holidays was very helpful to arrange a day-time journey back to Dhaka. My guide, Mizan gave me a lot of valuable information during our stay in the Sundarbans..

5 day Sundarbans Tour
This was a magnificent tour, all that we wsihed for and more, although the tigers did not come to see us. From the moment we were met on the steamer in Dhaka to the end of the tour we were looked after in a friendly, professional way. The driver was good and managed traffic well. In Khulna we wandered round local shops with no hassle, feeling very safe. The smaller boat that took us round Sundarbans was great, a lovely atmosphere created by the captain who was excited when he showed us dolphins and a crocodile. The guides were knowledgable and knew where to find birds, deer and a tiger paw print. The boat staff kept the boat well, very clean, lovely food and staff were always aware of our needs. I would recommend this tour and Bangladesh as a fascinating, safe country to visit..
